Northern Petroleum Plc announces directorate changes

Northern Petroleum Plc

Maurice Eaton has left his position on the board of directors for Northern Petroleum Plc (AIM:NOP) and various other operating subsidiaries.

Northern is a full-cycle oil and gas company currently holding numerous licenses in a number of low-risk areas and engaging in projects at all stages of the exploration and production (E&P) value chain.

Eaton joined Northern in July 2007 and subsequently was promoted to the role of director of operations in June 2011. The drilling of La Tosca-1 in Italy and the oil discovery at Markwells Wood occurred during his tenure. In addition to being involved in new-business activities, Eaton also controlled the production operations of five onshore gas fields in the Netherlands and a program of intervention that enhanced the delivery of gas.

Eaton’s departure is the first of a series of changes to board roles and executive responsibilities, including, in 2013, changes for the roles of chairman and managing director.

As Northern’s COO Keith Bush moves into a more senior role on the board, he will add Eaton’s responsibilities to those he currently holds.
