Standard Chartered names new Regional Head Transaction Banking North East Asia

Standard Chartered has appointed Sridhar Kanthadai as its new Regional Head, Transaction Banking, North East Asia. Kanthadai is based in Hong Kong and formally assumed his new position on 15 October 2012, reporting to Jiten Arora, Global Head, Sales, Transaction Banking and to Darcy Lai, Regional Head of Origination and Client Coverage, North East Asia.

Sridhar joins Standard Chartered from Citi where he has held a number of senior positions, most recently as Managing Director, Head of Treasury and Trade Solutions, Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Sridhar will be responsible for the strategic direction, management and development of Standard Chartered’s Transaction Banking team in North East Asia, further innovating and improving their wide range of customized solutions in cash management, trade finance, securities and RMB settlement services.
