YPE Summit announces speaker lineup

The Young Professionals in Energy (YPE) International Summit has released its lineup of speakers for its international conference, to be held April 8-10 in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Tropicana Hotel.

Keynoting the conference on April 9 is Ray Dempsey, Jr., vice president of government and public affairs for BP America, Inc. Dempsey’s keynote is titled “Meeting Our Challenges: BP and the Future of Energy.”

The Sunday, April 10 keynote speaker at the YPE Summit is Tanya Bryja, energy and technology advisor of ExxonMobil Corporation. Bryja will be discussing how energy is critical to economic growth, development and social welfare.

Also speaking on April 10 is Paul Dickerson, former chief operating officer of the US Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and a partner in the Haynes & Boone law firm’s Cleantech Practice Group.

The conference will also include panel discussions around alternative energy resources, utility and smart grid issues, and electric vehicles. Executives from Nissan, Shell, Southern California Edison, the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), General Motors, and more have been confirmed for the first round of speakers.
