Ikon Science, a global geoscience technology company, has named Mark Kittridge as vice president of technology for Ikon Science Americas.
Kittridge is a well-known champion of Quantitative Interpretation technology and a recognized expert in the area of rock and fluid physics, responsible for development of methods and workflows deployed globally. He joins Ikon Science with more than 23 years’ experience in onshore US, Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, West Africa, Brazil, Egypt, Russia, and the Philippines in petrophysics, including well operations, integrated reservoir studies, geopressure, EOR, unconventional reservoirs, and rock physics.
Kittridge previously worked at ConocoPhillips in Houston as manager of petrophysical analysis and rock physics, subsurface technology – reservoir description. Prior to ConocoPhillips, Kittridge spent over 20 years at Shell, working in various petrophysical and engineering roles. He has contributed papers, workshops, and presentations to the rock physics and petrophysical community as part of his active membership of the SEG, SPE, AAPG, EAGE, and SPWLA.
Kittridge holds a master of science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor of science and professional degree in geological engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
