Wood Group, Heerema to pitch jointly for Norwegian offshore platforms

ABERDEEN, UK, and ZWIJNDRECHT, the NetherlandsWood Group and Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

They plan to jointly offer wellhead platform developments to clients on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS), from design to installation, hookup, and commissioning.

Wood Group will combine its engineering offering with HFG’s services in engineering and construction of large and complex offshore structures.

The duo sees demand on the NCS for wellhead platforms that offer cost-efficient solutions for field developments.

Dave Stewart, CEO for Wood Group’s Asset Life Cycle Solutions business in the Eastern Hemisphere, said: “We look forward to breathing new efficiencies and technical innovations into the NCS through the success of our collaboration.”
