Future Industry Investment Fund purchases stake in CIMC Offshore

HONG KONG – China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC HK) has agreed to sell a 15% equity interest in CIMC Offshore to Future Industry Investment Fund upon completion of a capital contribution of more than $145 million.  

Following the investment, CIMC HK will retain 85% of CIMC Offshore, which will remain its indirect subsidiary.

The group said the money will be used in the expansion, research and development, and production and capex related to CIMC Offshore’s business or as general working capital related to its potential operations.
