FMB platforms in place offshore Qatar

Offshore staff

PARISTechnip has completed floatover of the topsides for the FMB platforms offshore Qatar.

In late 2013 Qatar Petroleum awarded the company an EPIC contract for a new living quarter platform and a utility platform, with a connecting bridge.

Technip’s floatover technique is designed for installation of large integrated topsides in one piece, minimizing offshore hook-up and commissioning, without the use of large crane vessels.

Technip’s operating center in Abu Dhabi, managed the program, with support from the contractor’s operating centers in Paris and Doha.
