TRONDHEIM, NorwayAker BP ASA, formerly BP Norge and Det norske oljeselskap, has acquired interests in eight Norwegian licenses from Tullow Norge, subject to regulatory approval.

These include a 15% stake in the 43-MMboe Oda (ex-Butch) discovery in PL 405, likely to be developed through the Ula field facilities.

The transaction strengthens Aker BP’s position in core areas around Ula, north of Alvheim, Skarv, and the Krafla/Askja areas.
