Keppel, Safe Yards bid for Sverdrup accommodation rig

STAVANGER, Norway – Start-up Norwegian company Safe Yards has entered into a partnership with Dutch offshore maintenance and refurbishment yard Keppel Verolme following meetings at ONS 2016.

The duo will compete jointly for a contract on Statoil’s Johan Sverdrup project in the North Sea to modify the accommodation jackup Haven.

Safe Yards is part of BR Industrier, while Keppel Verolme is owned by Keppel Offshore & Marine.
