TEHRAN, Iran – Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Co. (ISOICO) has the capacity to build an offshore platform within two months, managing director Hamid Rezaiean told news service Shana.

This summer the company loaded out and installed the South Pars 18B platform in the Persian Gulf. Currently it is doing the same for the 17B platform.

Rezaiean claims ISOICO’s 300,000-ton capacity to build vessels and large oil and gas platforms for use in the Persian Gulf is unrivalled.

Previously the company built platforms for South Pars phases 14, 16, 17 and 18, and the offshore Hengam and Hendijan fields.

It has also designed and constructed the oil spill vessel Darya Pak 1.

ISOICO is 37 km (23 mi) west of Bandar Abbas.
