Aseng passes oil production milestone offshore Equatorial Guinea

Offshore staff

HOUSTON – Cumulative oil production from the Aseng field offshore Equatorial Guinea has reached 75 MMbbl, according to operator Noble Energy.

The company is also a partner in the Marathon-operated Alba field in the same sector where the new B3 compression platform started up last month.

This project, designed to enhance full-field recovery, should support a production plateau of around 200 MMboe/d.

Noble added that a 3D multi-client seismic survey has been completed over block F15 offshore Gabon. The company is currently processing the data and evaluating the block’s prospectivity.
