ANTWERP, Belgium – Commissioning has started of the Caribbean FLNG, and the vessel is expected to be delivered during the current quarter, says owner Exmar, pending successful performance-testing at the shipyard.

Another FSRU under construction at Wison in China should be delivered by mid-2017.

Exmar is in negotiations on employment of both vessels.

The company continues continuing to pursue various projects based on its OPTI production semisubmersible design. However, decisions to award contracts have been delayed until the second half of 2016, due to the continued impact of lower oil prices.

Exmar’s accommodation barges Wariboko and Nunce are both on contract offshore West Africa and will remain throughout this year. The company recently sold a 60% interest in the Wariboko to its Nigerian partner.

The Kissama barge’s contract has been extended until the end of October.
