ABU DHABI, UAE – ADMA-OPCO has awarded RWG a three-year support agreement, with the option for a one-year extension, to maintain the company’s fleet of Siemens Industrial RB211 gas generators.

The contract was awarded through RWG’s local partner Al Ahlia Oilfields Development Co.

The scope includes scheduled overhauls of the gas generators, field service support and maintenance interventions.

RWG, a joint venture between Siemens and Wood Group, was formed in 1990. It has maintained a workshop and resident field service presence in the UAE for more than 18 years.

Since the RB211 was introduced in the 1970s, more than 750 have been sold to companies in the energy industry. The generators have to date racked up more than 34 million operating hours in mechanical drive and power generation applications.

ADMA-OPCO is the concession holder for the offshore Umm Shaif and Lower Zakum oil fields. All the produced crude is transferred through a network of pipelines to Das Island from where it is exported to international markets.
