Technip calls on Solstad fleet for North Sea trenching

SKUDENESHAVN, NorwaySolstad Offshore (SOFF) has a frame agreement with Technip Norge and Technip UK to provide vessels for trenching, construction, and subsea services.

Under the agreement, which runs through 2018, Technip can use SOFF’s Normand Progress, Normand Pioneer, Normand Ranger, and Normand Mariner vessels.

SBM Offshore has chartered various of the company’s vessels to tow the newbuild Glen Lyon FPSO from Haugesund to its final location west of Shetland for BP’s Quad204 redevelopment.

SOFF has an additional agreement with BP for the Normand Prosper and Normand Ranger to perform heading control of the FPSO during the installation period.
