Saipem secures drilling contracts offshore Portugal, Norway

SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy Eni Portugal B.V. has contracted Saipem for use of the Saipem 12000 offshore Portugal. The work will be performed during 3Q 2016.

Saipem 12000 is a sixth-generation ultra-deepwater drillship capable of operating in water depths of more than 3,000 m (9,842 ft).

Offshore Norway, the contract with Eni Norge for the Scarabeo 8 has been extended up to October 2017.

Scarabeo 8 is a sixth-generation semisubmersible drilling rig designed to operate in ultra-deepwaters of up to 3,000 m.

The company also recently appointed Giulio Bozzini as chief financial and strategy officer. He is responsible for administration, finance and control, ICT, and strategy.
