The natural gas field, 110 km (68.3 mi) offshore in 190 m (623 ft) of water, will be tied back to the existing Sabratha platform operated by Mellitah, a consortium between Libya’s National Oil Corporation and ENI North Africa.
Technip will be responsible for overall design, detailed engineering and project management, as well as procurement, installation, tie-ins, pre-commissioning, and commissioning related to a gas gathering system.
This will comprise:

- Two subsea isolation valve structures and two subsea isolation valve umbilicals.
In addition, Technip will perform trenching and backfilling, installation of a large number of spools, and topsides modifications at Sabratha to receive the gas.
