US offshore rig count remains steady at 25

HOUSTON – The US Gulf of Mexico rig count remains steady at 25, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of April 29, 2016.

That number (25) was the same reported in the company’s weekly rig count of April 22, 2016, and is down nine rigs year over year.

The overall US rig count, including offshore and onshore, is down by 11 rigs from last week to 420, with oil rigs down 11 to 332, gas rigs down one to 87, and miscellaneous rigs up by one.

The overall US rig count is down 485 rigs from last year at 905, with oil rigs down 347, gas rigs down 135, and miscellaneous rigs down by three.
