HONG KONGCNOOC has achieved net production of 124.3 MMboe during 1Q 2016, up 5.1% from the corresponding quarter last year.

This was mainly due to contributions from new projects offshore China that started up during 2015.

In 1Q, the company discovered three new fields offshore China and drilled four successful appraisal wells, one being on the Caofeidian 12-6 oil and gas structure.

The company also participated in three successful appraisal wells overseas.

This year, the Kenli 10-4 and Panyu 11-5 oil fields have already started production.
