Island Constructor to address Oyo well valve malfunction offshore Nigeria

Offshore staff

HOUSTONErin Energy says the light well intervention (LWI) vessel Island Constructor is en route from Norway to the Oyo field offshore Nigeria.

On arrival it will perform LWI services on the Oyo-8 well, following failure of the well’s sub-surface controlled sub-surface safety valve to open during production restriction measures.

Erin expects the operation to take a few days to complete, with production likely to be restored from the well later this month.
