Wintershall gets go-ahead for North Sea well

OSLO, Norway – Wintershall will use the semisubmersible Borgland Dolphin to drill a wildcat in the Norwegian North Sea, following approval from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

Well 35/8-6 S will be the fourth exploration well on production license 248, awarded in mid-1999. Petoro is the other partner.
