Vermilion reports production increase for Wandoo offshore Australia

CALGARY, Canada – Vermilion Energy has issued an update on its field development activities offshore Western Australia and Ireland.

During 4Q 2015, the company drilled and completed a horizontal side track well at the Wandoo A platform, which was brought on production in mid-November. Through end-December, the well flowed on average 3,900 boe/d.

Offshore western Ireland, the Shell-operated Corrib gas field came onstream early this year. So far production has been in-line with forecasts, Vermilion says, while well deliverability has exceeded expectations.

Over the next six months output is expected to build to a peak of around 58 MMcf/d (9,700 boe/d) net to Vermilion.
