MOSCOWRosneft and Siemens have signed an agreement on a wide-ranging technical collaboration.

Areas of cooperation include hydrocarbon production – the two parties plan to develop energy-efficient technologies for oilfields such as heat recovery systems, variable speed drives and “Smart Grid” power networks, and compressors for offshore and onshore fields.

They also agreed to investigate potential for joint activities in shipbuilding that could include implementation of a “digital” shipyard concept, and other projects to develop FPSOs.
