Prosafe support vessels start North Sea jobs

LARNACA, CyprusProsafe’s semisubmersible accommodation vessel Safe Boreas has started operations at Talisman Sinopec Energy UK’s Montrose field in the UK central North Sea.

The rig is stationed close to the Montrose A platform and will also provide a gangway connection to the new Montrose BLP platform.

The eight-month contract, which carries options for extensions, is valued at around $60 million.

Prosafe’s tender support vessel Safe Scandinavia has also started a contract for Statoil at the Oseberg Øst installation in the Norwegian North Sea.

It will be used to provide accommodation, mud services, and other marine operations with a telescopic gangway link to the platform.
