RICHMOND-ON-THAMES, UKAbu Dhabi Marine Operation Co. (ADMA-OPCO) has appointed Penspen as project management consultant for work on Das Island in the UAE.

Penspen will advise and lead on:

  • The upgrade or replacement of various pipeline networks
  • Studies on an oil spill response hub, to serve both Das Island and related offshore production facilities
  • An overhaul of crude oil storage tanks
  • Installation of three COL pumps and associated modification.

The consultancy contract, which started in January, will run for four years, with a 10-strong Penspen team responsible for management and administration of the project activities.

Das Island is the main industrial center of offshore oil and gas production for ADMA-OPCO, where oil and gas produced from the Umm Shaif and Zakum offshore fields is processed, stored, and exported.

It is the region’s main oil storage site and also the export terminal both for oil from ADMA-OPCO’s fields and for LNG produced by the Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Co. (ADGAS), both part of the ADNOC Group.
