Kongsberg inks long-term simulator agreement with Statoil

STAVANGER, NorwayKongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies has signed a frame agreement with Statoil to supply services for the operator’s dynamic process simulators.

Under the deal, valid for up to 12 years, Kongsberg will maintain, modify, and upgrade Statoil’s existing simulators installed in Norway and elsewhere.

Dynamic process simulators are used throughout the life of an oil and gas field to predict more cost-efficient field development, during operations and processes, and ultimately decommissioning.

Kongsberg has delivered and maintained dynamic process simulators for 27 Statoil installations since 1988.
