Eni updates offshore Mexico drilling goals

SAN DONATO MILANESE, ItalyEni expects to submit its plan soon to the Mexican authorities for delineation drilling in shallow-water block 1 in the Gulf of Mexico.

Last year the company signed a production-sharing contract as 100% owner/operator of the block to develop the Amoca, Miztón e Tecoalli fields. Collectively, these are thought to hold in-place resources of 800 MMbbl of oil and 14 bcm of gas.

Eni will likely drill four appraisal wells in order to define a combined, fasttrack development plan.
