Wood Group lowers UK North Sea contractor rates

Offshore staff

ABERDEEN, UKWood Group PSN (WGPSN) has cut rates paid to around one-third of its UK-based limited company contractors by 9%.

James Crawford, managing director of WGPSN in the UK and Africa, said the company took this decision in response to continuing cost and resourcing challenges affecting the UK North Sea, partly to reduce costs for clients.

WGPSN employs roughly 600 contractors in the UK.
