Water Standard wins contract for Appomattox in the Gulf of Mexico

HOUSTON – Shell Offshore Inc. has contracted Water Standard to supply an ultrapure water generation package (UWGP) for the Appomattox floating production system in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

The UWGP includes compact reverse osmosis and membrane deaeration coupled with a demineralization process using continuous electrodeionization.

Appomattox is 80 mi (129 km) offshore Louisiana, in approximately 7,200 ft (2,195 m) of water.

In addition, Water Standard recently acquired Monarch Separators, a Houston-based supplier of industrial produced water and oil separation equipment.
