Murphy updates offshore Asia/Pacific drilling, production operations

EL DORADO, ArkansasMurphy Oil says gas production from its fields offshore Sarawak averaged more than 121 MMcf/d (3.4 MMcm/d) last year, while its average liquids yield for Malaysia as a whole was about 41,400 b/d.

However, the company’s well on the Senyum prospect during 4Q well failed to encounter commercial quantities of hydrocarbons.

Offshore Brunei, the Keratau well did find commercial hydrocarbons in line with pre-drill estimates, thereby adding to the company’s resources in the Kelidang field.
