Magseis outlines Red Sea seismic survey details

LYSAKER, Norway – Magseis is working with BGP on Saudi Aramco’s S78 project for large-scale ocean bottom seismic (OBS) acquisition in the Red Sea.

The program is due to start in July. According to Magseis, the survey will take in complicated surface and geological conditions with a combination of deep and shallow marine work.

Magseis will deploy its OBS technology (MASS) from its dedicated OBS vessel M/V Artemis Athene, with BGP handling the transition zone campaign.
