Harkand enters third offshore West Africa partnership

LUANDA, AngolaSubsea/IRM contractor Harkand has signed a joint venture agreement with ESOPEG in Angola.

Harkand Angola will focus on development of IRM capabilities and services in country, providing support and local content on new offshore development projects and maintenance for existing facilities.

It will provide Harkand’s full range of ROV and diving, inspection, engineering, project management, and survey services in Angola.

General manager for Africa Doug Fieldgate said: “This new venture, combined with the operations of the Swordfish DP-2 multi-purpose vessel in the country, provides a very sound and sustainable operational basis for further development and growth both in Angola and the African region as a whole.”

Over the past 12 months the company has also established joint ventures in Nigeria and Ghana.
