SEIMSFOSS, NorwayHarding will supply lifeboats and davits to the Maersk Oil UK-operated Culzean offshore gas platform complex in the UK central North Sea.

Sembcorp Marine subsidiary SMOE is the main fabricator.

Maersk is developing Culzean via a 12-slot wellhead platform (WHP) linked by bridges to a central processing facility, supported by a floating storage and offloading vessel and a utilities and living quarters (ULQ) platform.

Harding will deliver three FF1200 lifeboats to the ULQ and one to the WHP, both with LA1200SU davits. The latter are scheduled for delivery by March 2017, with the lifeboats to follow nine months later.

The FF1200 is a 70-person freefall lifeboat, while the LA1200SU is a skid-launch davit specially designed for the FF1200.
