Fugro to provide IRM services offshore Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO Petrobras has awarded Fugro an inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) contract.

The company will deploy its new 83-m (272-ft) ROV support vessel, Fugro Aquarius. The contract duration is one year with an option for an additional year. Operations are expected to begin in April.

According to Fugro, the vessel was built in Brazil and local content exceeded 60%.

The vessel is scapable of operating in water depths of 3,000 m (9,842 ft). The vessel includes two 150-hp Fugro FCV3000 work class ROV systems.
