Europa seeks partner for frontier offshore Ireland leases

Offshore staff

DUBLIN, IrelandEuropa Oil & Gas understands that the Irish authorities are preparing documentation authorizing the transfer of Kosmos Energy Ireland’s operating interest in two frontier exploration licenses.

Once this has been approved, Europa will revert to a 100% interest in offshore leases FEL 2/13 and 3/13.

A competent persons report last year by ERC Equipoise estimated prospective resources across three prospects in FEL 3/13 at 1.5 Bboe.

Europa will attempt to find a farm-in partner to take the licenses into the next exploration phase and drill an exploration well. It is targeting major and mid-cap oil companies. The farm-out data room opened last month.
