Dana Gas starts up Zora offshore Sharjah

SHARJAH, UAEProduction has started from Dana GasZora gas field development offshore the UAE.

Process optimization is under way to deliver peak output of 40 MMcf/d (1.1 MMcm/d).

Development involved construction of a fixed platform and a subsea pipeline conveying the gas to a new processing terminal in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah.

Dana Gas, as operator with a 100% interest, will manage the field, gas sales and purchase agreements.

Production will be used for power generation in Sharjah, replacing some of the Emirate’s current feedstock that includes diesel fuel.
