BP commissions umbilical analytical tools for Quad 204

Offshore staff

AMOTHERBY, UK – BP has contracted C-Kore Systems to provide subsea monitoring tools for the Quad 204 project west of Shetland.

This follows BP’s trial of the equipment on other umbilical installation projects.

C-Kore’s systems are designed to monitor the insulation resistance and continuity of umbilicals throughout the installation process, even with both ends of the umbilical submerged to full deployment depth.
