Shell contracts Wood Group Kenny for Prelude FLNG riser management

PERTH, Australia – Shell has awarded Wood Group Kenny (WGK) a three-year contract for its Prelude FLNG project, 475 km (295 mi) northeast of Broome, Western Australia.

WGK will provide consultancy services for flexible riser integrity management prior to and during operation of the FLNG vessel.

The main focus of the work will be development and implementation of a flexible riser integrity management plan, and inspection, monitoring, testing, and engineering support.

Earlier the company designed Prelude’s subsea flowlines.
