More South Pars platforms taking shape

TEHRAN, Iran – Construction of the topsides for new platforms is nearing completion for phases 20 and 21 of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.

Official Alireza Ebadi told Shana that following completion of the topsides it should take around two months to transfer them to the offshore locations for installation.

Phases 20 and 21 will eventually deliver 50 MMcm/d (1.8 bcf/d) of processed natural gas for domestic consumption, and 75,000 b/d of condensate.
