HVJOC reviews options for CNV field offshore southern Vietnam

LONDONSOCO International says the Hoan Vu Joint Operating Co. (HVJOC) is assessing the impact of reduced water injection on production at the Ca Ngu Vang (CNV) field offshore southern Vietnam.

Output from the field recently averaged 7,000 boe/d.

Initiatives under review to maintain production performance include conversion of the CNV-6ST1 injection well to a producer, and modification of processing facilities on the Vietsovpetro-operated Bach Ho platform to lower minimum tubing head pressure.

SOCO is also a partner in the Hoang Long Joint Operating Co. that has developed the offshore Te Giac Trang (TGT) field, where production last year averaged 34,000 boe/d.

The partnership expects to submit the revised full field development plan (FFDP) for approval during the current quarter. This will probably include additional wells and options for facilities to increase water handling capacity.

Pending the FFDP, the partners have agreed to purchase long lead items for four wells and finishing drilling of the TGT-14X appraisal well.

In addition, SOCO is working with PetroVietnam and SOVICO Holdings to formalize a production-sharing agreement over offshore blocks 125-126.

As for the Marine XI license offshore Congo, SOCO is in talks with the authorities concerning commercialization options for the Lidongo discovery area.

The partners have prepared a production license application and hope to submit this shortly. The authorities have provisionally agreed a 12-month extension to the previous March 2016 license expiry to allow for completion of evaluation and interpretation of the 2015 reprocessed seismic.
