Sonangol, Total to form Angola deepwater venture

LUANDA, AngolaSonangol and Total have signed an agreement of intent to explore Angola’s ultra-deepwater West concessions.

In addition, Sonangol Chairman Francisco de Lemos José Maria signed an agreement with the Total-led consortium for block 32 to introduce an adjustment addendum for the ultra-deepwater Kaombo project.

Kaombo will have oil production capacity of more than 220,000 b/d.
