Production capacity restored on Alvheim FPSO in the North Sea

TRONDHEIM, Norway Production capacity has been restored on the Alvheim FPSO, according to operator Det norske oljeselskap.

The high voltage drive motor for one of the gas compressors was replaced, restoring capacity ahead of plan.

The Alvheim field is located in the central part of the North Sea, close to the UK sector. The field comprises the Kneler, Boa, and Kameleon discoveries. It is estimated to contain total recoverable resources of approximately 90 MMboe.

Det norske has 65% interest along with partners ConocoPhillips with 20% interest and Lundin Norway AS with 15% interest.
