ABU DHABI, UAEOptaSense has signed an agency agreement with Abu Dhabi’s Gulf Automation Services and Oilfield Supplies (GASOS).

This covers the Abu Dhabi oil and gas market, represented by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) group of companies.

GASOS was formed in 1972 to meet the UAE oil and gas sector requirements for technology and services.

OptaSense’s Distributed Acoustic Sensor service comprises data acquisition, monitoring, and visualization systems that retrieve detailed information across multiple functions via a single fiber-optic cable. Any changes to conditions in a well or pipeline are fed back through an interrogator unit in real time, allowing users to identify and address issues early and maintain system integrity.

Under the agreement with GASOS, OptaSense’s Oil Field Services Division will cover well completion, production, and evaluation.
