SINGAPORE -- Keppel Offshore & Marine subsidiaries have won contracts for four offshore vessels with a combined value of around $125 million SGD ($883 million).
In Singapore, Keppel Shipyard will handle conversion of an LNG floating storage unit (FSU) vessel for Armada Floating Gas Storage, owned by Bumi Armada. Following completion next summer, the vessel will operate at the Delimara LNG Regasification terminal in Malta.
The same yard will shortly begin an FPSO conversion for Yinson Production (West Africa). The work scope includes modifications, installation of new equipment with associated piping, electrical and instrumentation systems, and installation and integration of the process topsides.
On completion, the FPSO will be deployed to the Offshore Cape Three Point block to work for Eni offshore Ghana.
In Rio de Janeiro, MODEC Offshore Production Systems (Singapore) has contracted the BrasFELS shipyard for integration and commissioning works on the FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba MV27.
The vessel, which will operate on the Lapa field, Santos Basin, Brazil, will depart from Keppel Shipyard and arrive at BrasFELS in 2Q 2016.
Finally, BP Exploration (Shah Deniz) has commissioned Caspian Shipyard Co. in Baku, Azerbaijan to strengthen the steel structure of the hull of the STB-1, a purpose-built jacket transportation and launch barge. This will be and launch two jackets for the Stage 2 development of the Shah Deniz field in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea.
