ITC adds satellite communication service to West African floaters

Offshore staff

SION, Switzerland – ITC Global has won two three-year contracts to provide remote offshore communications to five FPSOs offshore West Africa. The clients include Saipem and Eni.

The FPSOs, operating off Congo, Angola, and Equatorial Guinea, are each equipped with two Cband stabilized antennas, delivering between 4-10 Mbps high data rate service to the vessels.

ITC says it designed the solution to enable increased automation at the site, reducing the number of remote workers needed on each vessel at one time.
