IOOC increases oil production at Reshadat offshore Iran

TEHRAN, IranOil production from the Reshadat field in the Persian Gulf has risen by 4,500 b/d, according to operator Iranian Offshore Oil Co. (IOOC).

This follows overhaul operations on four of the field’s wells, IOOC’s Abbas Rajab Khani told news service Shana, and drilling of the CR-10 development well.

IOOC plans more enhancement measures on other wells, he added, lifting output by nearly 6,000 b/d.

Italian company Iminico discovered Reshadat in 1965.

In February, National Iranian Oil Co. approved a $7-billion investment package for the offshore Resalat and Reshadat oil fields and the Salman gas field. All are 18 km (11 mi) from Lavan Island.
