Hannah license offshore Israel officially declared a discovery

TEL AVIV, Israel Delek Group announced that a Netherland, Sewell & Associates report has pronounced the Dolphin natural gas reservoir the Hannah license area a discovery.

The discovery was defined according to Israel’s Petroleum Law, 1952.

The Hannah license partners, including the Delek Group gas subsidiaries Delek Energy Systems Ltd., Avner Oil & Exploration LP, and Delek Drilling LP, submitted a request to the Petroleum Commissioner in Israel’s Ministry of National Infrastructures, Energy and Water Resources to extend the license.

On Dec.14, the commissioner told to the Hannah license partners that, due to technical issues, the response to this request will be delivered by Dec. 31, 2015.

Delek said the partners intend to integrate the development plan of Dolphin with that of Leviathan, which is located around 30 km (18 mi) northwest from Dolphin.
