Chevron contracts Solstad for offshore Thailand platform installation

SKUDENESHAVN, NorwayChevron has awarded Solstad Offshore a multi-year contract for offshore construction and installation in the Gulf of Thailand.

Solstad will use the derrick laybarge DLB Norce Endeavour to install various new wellhead platforms and subsea pipelines from next year onward. The contract lasts four years, with three one-year extension options.

The number of facilities to be installed after 2016 is not fixed and will vary depending on Chevron’s productions requirements.

Solstad will provide project management, engineering, procurement, and logistics to support the DLB installation and construction scope of work through its DLB Marine Projects group in Singapore.
