MOSCOWRosneft has produced it two-millionth ton of oil since production started at the northern tip of the Chayvo field offshore Sakhalin Island in 2014.

Three extended-reach wells around 10 km (6.2 mi) and collectively produce more than 6,000 tons/d of oil. Drilling is under way of a fourth well from shore via the land rig Yastreb, and the partners plan a fifth well thereafter.

To ensure maximum cumulative production the completion systems are equipped with inflow control.

The Sokol grade oil has a sulfur content of 0.25% and a density rate of 0.825-0.829 kg/cu m at 36.8° API.

All production is shipped on oil tankers from the De-Kastri Terminal in Khabarovsk Region, with associated gas sold to consumers in the Russian Far East.
