BP assigns offshore Norway field maintenance to Aker

FORNEBU, Norway – BP has awarded Aker Solutions a framework agreement to provide maintenance and modifications services at its operated oil and gas fields offshore Norway.

The five-year contract is valued at up to NOK3.2 billion ($369 million), and could be extended by a further four years. It also contains options to extend the agreement by as many as four years.

Fields covered are Ula, Tambar, Hod, and Valhall in the North Sea and Skarv in the Norwegian Sea. Aker Solutions’ maintenance, modifications and operations divisions in Stavanger and Sandnessjøen will manage the program, supported by the company’s fabrication yard in Egersund.
