HOUSTON Baker Hughes Inc. has reported a fall in the US rig count from the previous week, down 20 rigs over the past four weeks.

The decline stemmed from a lower number of oil-directed rigs. Rigs engaged in exploration and production in the US totaled 771 in the week ended Nov. 6, 2015. This number is down by four from the previous week’s rig count, which is the lowest since 2003, it added.

The offshore US rig count remained flat at 32 units.
